Racing and Coaching History
Treavis Poynter started racing motocross at the age of 4 years old. In 2012, he turned his focus to the Grand National Cross-Country series and the growing sport of SxS racing. Immediately jumping into the XC1 class, he attracted attention by finishing on the podium in only his second race, driving a near stock Polaris RZR. He managed to finish inside the top ten at each race and seventh in points his rookie season. He also had several podiums and wins in other series including the WEXCR U1 Championship. In 2013, Treavis was picked up by CanAm and started competing in their new Maverick 1000 XRS. He spent his next three seasons driving for CanAm. In 2015, Treavis won round one by an astonishing one minute and forty-seven seconds - the largest margin ever in GNCC history. In 2016 he switched to Polaris and became the first Pro Mod UTV Champion in Mid-West Short Course now known as Championship Off Road Racing. In seven seasons of UTV racing, Treavis has forty-three top ten finishes, thirty-seven top five finishes, thirty-six podiums and thirteen wins. He has competed in GNCC, WORCS, TORC, LOORRS, Championship Off Road Racing and other forms of racing. He has five championships over the course of his off-road career. He has worked with some of the best drivers in off-road racing including Kyle Chaney, Scottie Lawrence, Jason Luburgh, Robert Loire, Addison Nible, Hans Ada, Mickey Thomas and many others.
